On Tuesday, April
20, 2010, James Marsden, 1991 graduate of Putnam
City North High
School, will become our seventh recipient of the
Putnam City Foundation “Wall of Fame” honor.
Mr. Marsden is one of Hollywood’s hottest actors, starring
in movies like 27 Dresses, The Notebook,
Hairspray, Superman Returns, and X-Men as well as television episodes of Ally McBeal, Second Noah, The Nanny, and
Party of Five.
He became interested in acting through his drama class at
Putnam City North when he played the role of Andy in a school play called “Juvie”
by Jereome McDonough. It was then that Mr.
Marsden realized his “aha” moment for a very successful career of acting that
dates back to 1993.
We are so proud of Mr. Marsden and all that he has
accomplished. We are thrilled to recognize
him as our 2010 Putnam City Foundation “Wall of Fame” honoree. Past honorees include Leo C. Mayfield, former
district superintendent; Kenneth Cooper, M.D., world-renowned health and
fitness expert and founder of Cooper Aerobics
Center in Dallas;
Neil Woodward, U.S. Naval Commander and astronaut; Dr. Carlan Yates, orthopedic
surgeon; Dr. Rhonda Roby, one of our nation’s leading forensic scientists; and
Mick Cornett, mayor of Oklahoma City.
The Putnam City Foundation will host Mr. Marsden at our
annual banquet to be held at The National Cowboy and Western
Heritage Museum
on Tuesday, April 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
