- Rose Mary Story
Through the generosity of the Foundation, Fran Stallings visited PC North last week to tell the story of Ruth Brown, longtime citizen and librarian in Bartlesville. Ms. Stallings is a nationally known author and storyteller. She related the story of segregation and the struggle for civil rights in this small Oklahoma town. Students were given the opportunity to learn a great deal of history in the form of a story.
Classes attending included U.S. History, Pre-AP U.S. History and African American Studies. Additionally, students at all three of our lunch periods also attended. It was clear that they enjoyed the presentation. This author visit allowed PC North the opportunity to bring history to life for its students.
